Small Infinity is a spin-off of the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) specialized in the development and production of Scanning Probe Microscopes.

Designed by Synchrotron experts The technology developed is the result of years of research at the Surface Science Laboratory (SSL) of the ESRF. The SSL focuses on the use of Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) for supplementing synchrotron radiation techniques in issues relevant to nanotechnology.

The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility is an international research institute founded by European countries in 1988. At the ESRF, physicists work side by side with chemists and materials scientists. Many other fields of science are actively cooperating on different projects and studies.
